Review summary

We booked this cruise 2 years ago because of hype of new menus celebration 50 years ago and new entertainment. Was on Breeze 2 weeks prior to this one. This one, the sailabration, nothing changed at all from last cruise. No photos from air of ship formations or videos of horns tooting. Seems this was an important celebration and they would want to sell videos and photos. Cruise director did not what was going on either

Supposed to hear ships horns toot at a gathering point outside Cozumel. Some ships horns sounds like they had the flu, no loud horns. The Breeze had a loud one. Cruise director had no idea of what is happening

Saw all of them 2 weeks prior. No changed entertainment for Sailabration, except a lido deck party. Was promised new entertainment for 50 celebration

I was on the Breeze and did a Back 2 Back for the Sailabration. When we got back on the ship they had Mimosas on the bar for us, music was playing and we were greeted by crew employees. They took a group photo of us and we each received a free copy of the picture along with a lanyard and a 50th birthday celebration pin. We thought that was pretty nice. We were hoping there would be a special 50th birthday cake, but I must have missed it. We were slightly disappointed with the celebration and I think it was over hyped. I thought there was going to be fireworks or something fabulous happening but that was not the case. I could hear the horns from the Breeze and a couple of other ships. My daughter enjoyed watching the Mardi Gras do a full turn to the rear and then back to the front (she called it a doughnut). They were showing off but I thought it was impressive. There was some lapse in communication but I will not blame the cruise director or any of the staff. They were having Internet, communication WiFi problems the whole cruise. There were seven ships there and I hoped they would do some synchronized blowing of the horns but it did not pan out as well as they had hoped. They did a Ship Tok but I did not see anything from any of the other ships. I have to say, it started out lively and a lot of fun. However, it was over hyped and over priced. No special food or drinks that I knew of except for some items in the Fun Shops. I cannot blame the cruise director or the employees, they worked with what the had.
