Review summary

The Zuiderdam was a wonderful ship. It was easy to find your way around, cabins were good sized, the crew is amazing, the food was always delicious and choices abound. The evening entertainment was wonderful, from the on-board cast of singers and dancers to the guest entertainers and all the people in the lounges. Would sail on the Zuiderdam again.

The singers and dancers were wonderful, talented, accomplished, energetic. The other acts in the theatre were first quality. Exceptional was the Island Magic Steel Band-- what a group!!! Activities we participated in were very good.

Service and Staff

The crew on all Holland America ships are fantastic and one of the main reasons we choose to sail on HAL ships.. They are all happy, accommodating, efficient, and daily go above and beyond their job requirements. After one meal our dining stewards knew the names of all 10 people at our table, even to greeting us by name in other parts of the ship.
