Review summary

Cruise was good. Cape Horn was to be the highlight for me but it didn't happen. Still, worse things happen at sea. Cruising is not for me (Husband of Josanne, she loved it!) It must be me :-)

Ports of call

Buenos Aires, Argentina

It didn't cross our minds to book a few days before we sailed. Would do this if we Cruise again.

Montevideo, Uruguay

Not long enough in port. All shops closed due to the date of visit. Bought a nice piece of street art though, so that was a plus.

Port Stanley, Falkland Islands

Excellent. A long tender ride in and out 20 minutes each way. Tip. Get up VERY EARLY and que for tender place. Wonderful museum and memorial. Only visited Stanley town but great people and nice to get a greater understanding of their way of life and connection with the UK. Had about 5 hours there. As Cape Horn is not mentioned in this review I will state my disappointment that we did not go around Cape Horn as I was hoping. Captains call. If he didn't go around on this trip he NEVER will! Windy but the size of the ship should have been able to manage the seas with ease. Mind you I wasn't responsible foe 1200 people.

Punta Arenas, Chile

Closed for public holiday.

Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina

Home port of the Belgrano. Jeremy Clarkson didn't do himself any favours taking the mickey out of these people.

Puerto Montt, Chile

Turn left and go to the fish market. Keep going through the market to the harbour and you may see some Sea Lions feeding.

San Antonio, Chile

Not long enough again. Our fault for not tacking on a couple more days at the end of the cruise.

Disembarkation
