A great cruise on a GREAT SHIP!!! The ports of call were very good......... but the truly great experience of the cruise was the Wonder of the Seas itself! Fabulous architecture, great food, service and entertainment. And wonderful venues! [Thank you Glenn Gajewski!!!]

Getting to the port, dropping off the luggage and getting onto the ship was a breeze!

The food was great and the service was even better!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There was something for everyone. We made us of the multiple pools, hot tubs and decks. The enclosed solarium at the front of the ship is fantastic! Central Park in the center of the ship is a peaceful place to relax...... there were even small birds to keep you company! The Promenade has a bar that goes up and down two decks. And I even rode the zip line........ quite and experience for a 74 year old geezer!!!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The best shows we have ever experienced on a cruise! "Voices", an a capella extravaganza, was especially entertaining! The large ensemble cast all had fantastic voices. And the way the show integrated virtual cast members (video recorded in a studio) into the productions was amazing. This show is a must see if you cruise on the Wonder!!! The ice skating show was very entertaining. The performers were top notch professionals! Our final show was the "Effectors, Crash and Burn." You have to see this technological extravaganza to believe it! The use of amazing video tricks and lazers keeps your eyes glued to the stage for the entire 50 minutes!!! You can actually see a sample of this show online if you Google it. Oh, I almost forgot............ don;t miss the parade on day 3 (or is it 4) in the Royal Promenade. Get right in the middle of it. It truly a fun filled experience!!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Cruise lines are known for great service. Our service onboard the Wonder of the Seas was no exception. Our wait staff in the main dining room on Deck 4 was fantastic. Alpesh and Aron were great!!! We never wanted for anything! If possible, I would have given them a rating of 15!!!!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The spaciousness and layout of the ship is outstanding. Even though there were about 6,000 people on board, you never felt crowded....... that in itself was amazing! And everthing was kept spotless and sparkling!!!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was larger than other balcony cabins we had sailed in on past cruises (granted, it had been about 5 years since our last sailing). It was kept spotless. The bed was comfortable and the layout was efficient. The bathroom (especially the shower) was roomy and pristine! Our balcony was just the right size and cozy and relatively private.
Ship tip
Maybe our only negative comment........... be prepared to pay $2.70 everytime you want a 16 oz. bottle of water. We drink a lot of water and you have to buy it at a bar or room service and they hit you with a $2.00 charge plus gratuity and tax for every bottle. It adds up if you drink a lot of water, as we do. I think water is included in one or more of the expensive drink packages they offer.
We actually stayed on the ship at Coco Cay. They seemed to want extra money for just about everything but laying on a towel on the beach and shopping at their many stores on the island. We chose to use the ships pools and other facilities and had a great tme as they were much less crowded (although crowds were never a big problem, even during the "at sea" days).
We took an excursing sold by Royal Caribbean at Charlotte Amalie. We took an open "bus" on a tour up the mountains to see some beautiful views of the St. Thomas and the surrounding islands. This including a stop for shopping. The tour was fun, but not great. And the roads were very winding and the drivers somewhat crazy.
We took an excursion purchased through Cruise America on St. Maarten. It was a city sight-seeing tour that included shopping and a stop at two beaches. The bus was enclosed and air conditioned and the driver/tour guide was knowlegeable and entertaining. The views of the island, bays and surrounding islands were exceptional. We had a great day!
This was by far the easiest disembarkation we have ever had on a curise. We walked off the ship 10 minutes earlier than our scheduled time (8 AM). By 8:10 we had collected our bags, gone thru customs (simply a facial recognition scan), walked to the parking garage, and were in our car headed out. There was no congestion at all. The whole experience took about 20 minutes!!!
@gdarnell0... thanks for sharing your experience. we cruised Wonder of the Seas on 9/24/2023 - 10/1/2023. yes it's a humongous and very beautiful ship. we too didn't see any long wait lines. we are Diamond so didn't experience extra fees for alcoholic drinks and we carried onboard a 12 pack of gingerale (cans) and a 24 pack of water (16.9 oz bottles) which lasted throughout our 7-day cruise.
