Review summary

This was an excellent cruise overall. St. Thomas is nice, but very expensive, and it's very small. The Dutch side of St. Maarten is fun, but the French side is only good for food and high-end shopping. Coco Cay is always a good time with lots of options for things to do, but the food is just so-so. The ship is fantastic and I recommend the all access ship tour if you can swing the cost. The schedule is packed with many options for things to do, so boredom isn't likely, and the big shows in the theater and Aquatheater are not to be missed.

Organized, but with long lines

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Dinner was mostly excellent other than one bad prime rib dinner. Everything else was very good but we felt Izumi was overpriced for the food and we waited 35 minutes for the chef.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The activities such as the Veterans Tribute, game shows, music, etc. were all outstanding. Pools are very crowded at times. Hot tubs were overchlorinated but they are still nice.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The big shows like InTENse, Effectors II, and Tap Factory were outstanding in every way and exceeded what we even thought was possible on board a cruise ship. Amazing.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the service staff were wonderful. Could not have asked for anything better from anyone.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
There is so much to see and do on this ship. Perhaps more guidance signs indicating the location of certain features would be helpful, but overall, the ship was clean, everything was working right, and the maintenance looked like everything was brand new.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
For a person over 6 foot tall, the shower is too small. Other than that, everything is great.

Ship tip

Understand the ship layout and deck maps before you sail so you know where to go when you're looking for something. Also understand nautical terminology like forward and aft, and port and starboard.
