Review summary

Wear good walking shoes, it’s a big ship - book speciality restaurants when you get on board as they fill up quickly - if you don’t book a show then go early - have an amazing holiday

Embarkation

Because I was. Key guest, I was taken through the check in for suites and Pinnacles - it was fast, efficient and very simple

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The speciality restaurants - Wonderland, Giovanni’s, Izumi, playmakers, The Mason Jar, 150 Central Park , Hooked and Chefs table were all spectacular - the food and service was excellent and always worth going back to them. Chops grille was very disappointing, the service was almost non existent! I waited 20 minutes for water and a menu, the menu is a lot smaller than on previous ships, I had to ask for a glass of wine, my steak was very over cooked and when another was made the sides were left on the table and got cold, all in all a horrible experience and didn’t return there! The main dining room was short staffed - the food was not very good and The buffet was as good as they could make it for 4,000 people

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools were great, the slides, zip wire and carousel were fabulous - I didn’t go on the rock climbing wall or surf rider

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great shows for all ages, some got families snd some adult themed loads to see, the aqua show and ice show were spectacular, the Caribbean band were fabulous. I found the singers and guitarists in pub and Central Park mediocre

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
My cabin steward was amazing, the bar staff especially at the Lime and coconut was superb, Rohan our bar tender in the rising tide was great The waiters in MDR were hit and miss very understaffed in there

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It’s the first Oasis class I’ve been on and found it quite confusing, but coped! I think there should be a lot more sets of stairs and rest rooms around the pool decks, it’s very difficult getting from one deck to the other and the rest rooms are a long way from each other The ship as a whole was clean and maintained

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Beautiful, well laid out and loads of space, good sized balcony - the only thing I dot like are the magnetic bathroom and shower doors, I got a few bruises from them and the door had to be slammed shut, they don’t automatically shut anymore

Ship tip

Make good use of the App, it’s great for bookings, cancellations and events.

Disembarkation

What a night mare! The ship docked early, we got off at 08:00 and didn’t leave the customs hall for over 2 hours, it was packed with over 2,000 people, very few customs officers and they had to take our fingerprints ….. 5 days later I got covid so thank you Port Canaveral!!! They were blaming Rcl for not registering properly RCL were blaming them! I’m the meantime it was AWFUL
