WOW best experience ever! by SheldaD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was amazing! My husband and I went during spring break and the ship was at its full capacity of 3,700 guest, but the ship was so big that you really didn't notice until it was time to get off the ship. It was always something to do and the employees were awesome! They really make you feel like royalty!

Great Rock and Roll Cruise by JulieM10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship is a very beautiful ship and has many amenities that other ships do not have. Our room, although just an oceanview room, was surpriseingly spacious in comparison to our last cruise with another line. It took us pretty much the whole week to explore the ship and there were places we still never went to. The staff was very professional, but still fun! Everyone went out of their way to make our trip as enjoyable as we had expectations! My husband has always said he wouldn't go on a crusie and after the first one I convinced him to go on didn't go that great, it was difficult to convince him to try again. Even though we had almost 4 terrible days of rough seas, he still enjoyed himself and I believe I will be able to coax him into trying another cruise next year!!! Thanks for a great fun and relaxing time!

Great Cruise by DonH3

Ship is getting worn and in need of some repairs and updating. That said, the layout is fine, the dining room beautiful, and i would travel on it again.

Great way to get away & relax! by DebiJ92399135

Great vacation but in the future, we would not even get off the ship in Falmouth, Jamaica. The locals are too pushy & sometimes even scary!

Wonderful cruise by ShirleyW2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

First time crusing on the Voyager of the Seas and was disappointed in the stateroom and shower size. Other cruises I have taken have had larger staterooms and showers. However other than that the cruise was very relaxing and enjoyable.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Voyager was a great ship. The food and service was great. The ship had 700 kids on board but you did not notice. They were all having a great week. The TV'S need to be updated to HD. The new bedding was nice.

Quality entertainment, good experience by LindaL7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Ship is well designed, lots to do day & night, great entertainment in theater, lounges. Loved the game shows hosted by ship staff. Do not appreciate all the "extra" costs when the price of the cruise is high enough to cover some of these items. Specialty restaurants that require payment for meals are a big negative. The other dining venues provide lots of variety and My Time dining covers those folks who do not like to be seated at specific times. Of course, My Time dining also costs extra. Do not appreciate that water and soda have to be purchased & no alcohol can be brought onto the ship. Inability to have a mixed drink or beer in cabin/balcony removed a great deal of enjoyment and use of balcony. You can sit on balcony but can't have an alcoholic drink while enjoying your space. It takes awhile to go to bar, get drink, and get all the way back to your room. We rarely drink alcohol but vacation is one time I like to have a daily drink & relax on balcony after a day of activities. We may not cruise again based on these negatives. Cost of cruise is high enough to cover at least water & soda. (free water, lemonade & tea available at 2 locations in open cups-no lids) We felt we were being charged all the time for something which removed some of the pleasures of cruising.

Our overall trip was great. Just wish there had been more people our age. But loved the ports. Food was great and staff was very friendly!

Maybe I'm not a cruise person by KristinaM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The crew was very pleasant, but seemed disgruntled to be working there. Everyone was friendly; only a couple people went out of their way for us. The fees charged were a real turnoff for me. I expected to pay for any alcoholic drinks, but the only free drinks were lemonade, ice tea and tap water. There were fees for certain exercise classes, which was really unacceptable. Then with the Johnny Rockets and Ben & Jerrys you had to pay for that food as well.

Great Cruise by DennisP1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My wife and I have cruised over 20 times, and the Voyager Of The Seas out of New Orleans ranks as one of the best. The ship was clean and modern, and our service was extraordinary. We chose "My Time" for dinner, but found a wonderful waiter and requested his table throughout the cruise.

First Timer, Now Cruise Believer by MichaelS22

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Voyager is a 12 year old ship and is still in great shape. To be sure, there are some signs of weathering (outside woodwork in particular), but overall it is in great shape. I was concerned that with a ship this size, the common areas would be overcrowded. As it turns out, there was rarely any waiting for any of the ships amenities. We never had to wait more than 2 minutes for an elevator when we wanted to use one, even during boarding, port calls, and disembarkation. All of this was with the ship "sold out". The only major disappointment was the arcade; just about everything in there was either broken or not working as designed.

We were never at a loss for something to do. Activities going on at all hours of the day. All employees were friendly and welcoming, and so helpful. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the ship, the attention to detail.

A very relaxing and fun trip by RobertR5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We liked the ship and the spa area very much, but we really liked the Grand Suite we had. It's location at mid-ship was near perfect. The voyage could not have been smoother and we particularly like our captain keeping us fully informed about everything that was going on.

First Cruise - Unimpressed by JoeyD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

3 things stick out the most to us. First, there was a illness outbreak on the ship and it seemed everyone we talked to got sick or had someone in their party that had been sick. Second, the food was terrible. Low quality. I paid alot of money and expected to eat better then I would at a high school cafeteria. Third, it really felt like at every turn they were trying to squeeze more money out of us. It was really petty. Im not sure if we will try royal caribbean ever again.
