Review summary
It was to smaller Canadian and US ports in a laidback atmosphere.Embarkation
It was quick and easy to do and our room was ready as soon as we boarded. We had a slight glitch with the check-in screens. The person doing the passport scanning scanned my wife’s passport with my information on the screen. It caused us issues for a few days to get straight.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
The food and service was excellent. At breakfast in the Lido restaurant the pre made pancakes were cold so I asked them to make it fresh when they did without issue. The Pinnacle restaurant was a bit slow and my wife’s steak was cold and needed to be replaced.
Onboard Activities
The trivia and game night host Cliff was really entertaining and great at his job.
Entertainment
The Cape Breton Thunder band were very good. The Comedian was very enjoyable.
Service and Staff
Everyone was at the top of their game. They could have not been more accommodating or friendly.
Ship Quality
The ship is the oldest in the HA fleet but very well maintained. It was a smaller and more intimate environment than the Pinnacle class ships which we love but had a charm and feel that was hard to resist.
Cabin / Stateroom
It was quiet, comfortable and convenient. It had fantastic storage capacity and had more storage spaces than we could possibly use.
Ship tip
Don’t expect to be overwhelmed by entertainment choices. It’s a laidback relaxing traditional type cruise geared to an older clientele.
