Review summary

The Volendam was very clean and had a very pleasant staff. We could want for nothing. The crew was awesome as usual and we were very pleased with the overall conditions of the ship. The only down was that they were varnishing one day on the rails and the smell got into the ship for the day, giving many people a headache.

The stage shows were very disappointing...they only had 4 \"Broadway\" type shows in 14 days and flew in a comedian that thought he was funnier than he was. Also the juggler dropped most of his equipment and sloughed it off as part of the act.

We booked and inside stateroom and were very pleased with our choice. We would do the same again as we would rather spend our money on excursions.

Pros: The ports of call were great

Cons: Entertainment was not up to cruise ship standards that I am used to.
