Great cruise, highly recommend- it's 12 Nights, so only go with someone you love.

Embarkation

Excellent boarding procedure at Baltimore port! I love leaving from here, easy parking and speedy check-in process. The attendants at this port are knowledgeable, kind and helpful. I literally look for cruises that leave from here.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Service was excellent on this ship. The food was not often prepared to quality standards, though. Many American dishes like pecan pie (no pecans present) crab cakes (too much filler and watery on the inside) were not prepared well. Dishes which called for cheese were sparse. Whipped cream substitute was used in all the desserts. (there must have been lots of preservatives in them because I saw a desert that was left on a tray outside a cabin in the morning, which was put out from the night before, and by the afternoon it still wasn't picked up and the whipped cream was exactly the same! Real would have melted. I have been on other Royal Caribbean ships where I had excellent food. This one just needs to work on some details.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Fitness center was clean and tidy and well equipped. The pool was well attended, there was always a lifeguard present, I thought this was a quality safety measure. The cruise ship activities director, Clo, was always happy and upbeat. She organized many activities which were entertaining and fun. The biggest belly flop was hilarious!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I absolutely loved the comedians! The acrobats were awesome, too!

Children's Programs

no kids came with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiters , especially Seanna, Nanda, Eduado and Edwin were outstanding and catered to our needs. Our room steward Azon, was excellent at cleaning our bathroom, towel refreshment and clean up. Our concierge, Jaimie was absolutely the BEST! He helped us with getting excursions, and water and just about anything we needed. He is probably the best concierge we have ever had! (and we have cruised over 20 cruises)

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I loved the size and layout of Vision of the Seas. Areas are well maintained

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our suite was 8018. We loved the size and wish there were more drawers for clothing, and a larger tv- but that said, we overall loved the suite and booked it for next year in 2025!

Ship tip

Book the specialty restaurants, go to the shows, enjoy the rest

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

No excursion- but loved this port that I can drive to from my home.

Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

This side of St Croix is gorgeous! Highly recommend doing a sailing excursion here

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

I like to take the water taxi to the Dutch side. We get off on the first stop and rent a chair and umbrella to lay out and enjoy the sand and sun, then eat a Nulove and then on to some shopping.

Castries, St. Lucia

Some of the locals were rude to us this time in the port shops. I have been here before and visited the volcano near the two pitons and it was amazing! I would do that again and skip shopping here.

Bridgetown, Barbados

I went to Carlisle Bay to the Leaping Lizard next to the Boatyard. We did not reserve a chair beforehand, we will do it next time because four cruise ships were in port at the same time. The water was amazing, the beauty of this island is amazing!

Basseterre, St. Kitts

We had a day pass to the Marriott ; spent the day on the beach but the pool was beautiful. We had a hut (which was free) and a table and chairs, shade and sun. The water was too rough to swim on our visit.

Disembarkation

Fabulous, went to Chops had breakfast, then Jaimie took us down on the private elevator to customs and all our luggage was there! Got a porter and went straight to the car, exited the carpark to interstate and was home in 90 mins
