Booked an October 2024 cruise on Vision of Seas. It won’t be 12 days( which proved to be too long for us) but 5 days. Looking forward to planning this next cruise.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It was a very foggy late afternoon and evening. The Captain navigated very professionally. The fog horn was very busy that evening.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was good. Main Dining room excellent ( small portions). We did share a third appetizer and third entree a few times.
Windjammer selections were noticeably less. The selections were good. Over a 12 day cruise it really was the same selections. It is what you make of it. Service at both venues excellent.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There were many selections of daily activities. We took part in a few. The cruise director was everywhere with a smile.

My husband loves the solarium on every cruise. Very crowded due to older individuals on the cruise. Found out after 4 almost empty. He enjoyed it at this time

The “out of ship” entertainment was very good. A singer, juggler, comedian were the ones we were interested in. Saw 2 movies also
Library
2 out of 5
It was a book case. I observed many people getting a book. My husband left his book he purchased for the cruise
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Every staff member we encountered was friendly, and went above and beyond. The only staff member, who was a female, we had a issue with was a during departure. We went to get in line at 7am to leave at 7:30. She insisted that we wait in the dining room. We were self assist and there were others in line already. She said they were needing w/c’s but when we left no one used a w/c. All went well after we stayed in line
Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Clean, spacious. Balcony was a life saver on the 12 day cruise. There were plumbing problems in cabins around but not ours
Ship tip
Don’t expect all the bells and whistles that are on the larger ships. This class ship is slower paced for folks who really want to relax. It is just right for us. We had gone on Oasis and it was way too big for us.
