Review summary

This was an amazing experience. We have five children and have so much time (21 years) trying our hardest to be good parents. This was a reminder of how important it is to work on being best friends to each other. We had a blast together and plan on doing this again soon.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
There were so many different choices, all of which were top notch. I tried just about everything...

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
My wife and I participated in four trivia games, a mystery "escape room" game, swam in the pool, went to two broadway shows, and watched a movie in the theater. We also saw the juggler, the musician/comedian, and the comedian. The crew also had several productions in the Centrum that we watched. Everything we did was first rate. We had a blast!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We went to two broadway shows, and watched a movie in the theater. We also saw the juggler, the musician/comedian, and the comedian. This was probably the most fun I had on the cruise; watching Joel Mason and the juggler...

Children's Programs

We have five children, but came on this trip as a 24th anniversay getaway.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Danny was absolutely perfect. He made us feel like we were VIP's. Our waitstaff Matt and Yovanni (I hope I spelled that correctly) were so funny and entertaining and made our dinners enjoyable as well. Whomever is in charge of staffing and training these guys/gals deserves a raise!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Discarded trash, glasses, dishes, etc., were removed and the tables cleaned within minutes. It was like a well choreographed dance that never stopped.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was much larger than I expected and was extremely comfortable. We spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony and just enjoying the view. Of course it was spotless too, because of Danny not of our doing.

Ship tip

Go to all of the shows that feature a performer, they were so amazing. Bring snacks your cabin. Missed salty snacks, like chips, nuts, trail mix, etc.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
I mean its Galveston, its pretty nice. The important part was that we never got lost or felt like we didn't know where we were supposed to be or go.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

5 out of 5
It was really interesting and learned a lot about the culture and vast history. We did an excursion where we went to the Mayan ruins, visited a salt mine, and toured a very old mission/church. This tour was excellent. and the tour guides were so good.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We loved Cozumel, we snorkeled and zip-lined at Chankanaab Park. Jesus, Diego, and AJ were our guides. It was an amazing experience and will definitely go back if we ever take another cruise to Cozumel.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The line to exit the ship was super long, which was not an issue for my wife or I, we expected that. However, there was another huge line that formed somewhere in the back of the ship. This line tried to merge into the already existing line and it caused some arguing between the affected people. There was no representative from the ship to handle the merging of these two lines at first. The issue was well behind us, but felt bad for both groups, as they were just trying to exit as quickly as possible. I would suggest having a little more involvement in that lining up process. It still went faster than I expected and never felt lost or worried about where to go.
