This was a 5 night short getaway for my wife and I. We were looking for a low energy, relaxing cruise this time and the Vision of the Seas was great for that. No annoying announcements early in the morning so we could sleep in every day. The crew could not have been nicer.

The food was excellent in the dining room and up in the Windjammer Cafe
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5

They were phenomenal!
Service and Staff

We think the crew of the Vision of Seas was by far the best we have every sailed with. It's evident that from the captain on down this crew has great leadership and the feel like they are part of a big family. We felt very comfortable with everyone we interacted with and they were extremely attentive.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Older ship, but very well maintained. Smaller than some but didn't feel claustrophobic at all.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Typical interior cabin, but was nicely decorated and everything worked great.
Ship tip
Captain Merik and his crew are an amazing team. Best crew we have ever sailed with. He was visible and even performed for us one night (singer). His crew clearly admires him and his leadership shines through them all. Would highly recommend the Vision of the Seas for just the crew alone (but we enjoyed the ship and food as well!).
The beach club shore excursion was okay, but the vendors harass you non-stop to buy stuff when you are on the beach. The "beach club" was not private at all and security guard let the vendors have total access to us. There are plenty of facilities just off the ship in the shopping area (pool, lounge chairs, bars, restaurants, etc). I'd recommend staying there versus paying for a beach club
