Review summary

My wife & I are in our mid 60's & we went on the cruise to see our grandaughter's Jr & Sr Dance Troop perform on Vision of The Seas. There performance was great. We have cruised several times & the last cruise was on the larger Royal Caribbean Oasis Of The Seas cruise ship which we really enjoyed the larger cruise ship & there activities on board too.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was quick & easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I was kind of worried about dining since I'm on a Pritikin Heart Rehab program, but there was plenty of vegitables to choose from along with grilled & fish on the menus. In fact I lost 2 pounds over the entire cruise when I weighed when I got Home.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Entertainment Shows, Spa's & the pool activitieswere great.

Photo Gallery and Shop

4 out of 5

We only purchased couple photo's taken during "Formal Night" but the other pictures were good too!

Day Spa and Fitness Center

4 out of 5

I thought they had a nice fitness center with all the right equipment on board. But the scale was not working & available for some reason. Treadmills & weight's were great.

Casino Royale

3 out of 5

I did not gamble on the cruise, but we had to walk through the Casino Royale to get to the Masquerade Theater and we had to plug our noses while we walked through becacuase of the smell of cigarette smoke was bad. But I think we could of walked through an upper or lower deck to get to the theater.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
They were wonderful.Very entertaining.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My granddaughter was well entertained throughout the whole cruise.

Teen Center

5 out of 5

Our teen on board had a great time with the scavenger hunt's and activities that were planned for them on board the Vision Of The Seas cruise ship.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Stateroom & Dining Staff were great and very polite.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I thought it was well designed. Sometimes had to wait somewhat for an elevator, but still was adequate to & from activities.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our Balcony stateroom was always clean & neat! Stateroom attendeant was very polite.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Other than missing getting to see Pleasure Pier & getting there at 7:45PM the night before the cruise, they closed early due to spring break. We thought the beaches were better near Pleasure Pier than down the road in front of our Best Western Hotel. Seen several dead fish & garbage on the beach.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We did not do an excursion but we did take a Taxi to Paradise Beach and it was great!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was quick & easy!
