Review summary

Overall it was just okay. The Vision of the seas is a smaller ship so you do feel the rocking of the boat quite a bit.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The small salt water pool was great when in port but otherwise was quickly crowded. While the rock climbing wall and fitness centers seemed well maintained there wasn't much else to do that was worth while and free.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The shows were okay but nothing that was amazing about them. Musicians on board were pretty good.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
I honestly didn't expect the kids club to be as well organized and interactive but the staff and programming were really amazing. My 2 kids wanted to be in there all the time and always came back with really fun projects. Since this isn't a line like Disney that caters to kids and families I was really impressed with the effort and planning that goes into the kids club.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff everywhere we went was great. They were kind, attentive, and all worked so hard to give guests a great experience.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Since we just recovered from an awful flu season I was a bit of a clean freak. When I arrived in our room I wiped everything down with some Clorox wipes and man was it gross!! The rest of the ship seemed okay and there was staff at the buffet greeting you with hand sanitizer all the time.

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

If you are looking to simply relax, drink and not see anything spectacular on the ship then this is for you. While staff and kids club are great there's not much else to see or do onboard that doesn't cost more money.

Ports of call

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
Very small newer port. Locals seem very nice just watch out for the hustlers.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Beautiful beach but beware taxis try to charge more but on the way back be sure they are going to drop you off AT the port and NOt across the street when negotiating price.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Pretty smooth
