Review summary

Did not enjoy as much as we had hoped. Mostly due to the, I guess, age of the ship and not as much relaxing spaces.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Quick, organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining room lacked pizzazz. WindJammer was adequate

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
On board ship activities were okay. As a experienced Royal Caribbean cruiser, I did not enjoy trivia being hosted each evening in the Schooner Bar. I thought the volume of activities in the Centrum extremely loud and unncessary. While at Guest Relations it was difficult to hear and understand the staff and vice versa it was difficult for them to hear and understand passengers. Also, NextCruise staff and area. Due to the high volume of activities going on in the Centrum, the two times I was at NextCruise it was extremely unpleasant to communicate with the noise level as it was. And, there were 5 couples there to book a 13 night cruise for October 7, 2019. It was a difficult work environment for the NextCruise staff.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Same as other shows in the Theatre, nothing spectacular. Casino was small.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Rooms Steward was adequate. Waiter and Assistant Waiter in Dining Room was adequate as well. He seemed to make a real effort to take our order.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Awkward layout compared to other RC ships. The Diamond Lounge was extremely small. Not condusive to the number of Diamond and above travelers for this ship. Schooner Bar seem to be smaller than other ships. Not at all a "fun" vibe as in past sailings

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
very small, cabinetry were outdated and the beds were very uncomfortable. All 10 of us had the same comment. Beds uncomfortable. Mattress too firm

Ship tip

Don't expect a big "wow" factor.

4 out of 5

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We really enjoy walking off with out luggage. Adequate staff to help passengers departing ship.
