Review summary

Was a great little ship. Royal Caribbean does a very good job and I would highly recommend this cruise. There crew and passengers were all very friendly. This was it's maiden voyage from Galveston so there were a few hiccups, but nothing major. All in all, a great cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easiest boarding experience ever!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The best Windjammer from all of my sailings.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Lots of activities onboard. Played trivia, watched movies, various activities at the pool. Lots of things to do.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Lots of activities onboard. Watched a great comedian/singer named Earl Turner. Wish their production Broadway show had more well known songs because I didn't recognize most of them. Heard that from other folks as well. But they did a good job.

Children's Programs

No children with me.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The entire staff was great and friendly. My cabin attendant Fnu was great as was the Diamond Lounge bartender, Arel Sun. And what can I say about Captain Marek? He was the most engaged captain I've sailed with, such a nice guy.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything looked good.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I really liked my cabin although the air conditioning struggled to stay cool when the sun was on the balcony door. Had a very easy to open sliding door with a small knob outside for a handle so to couldn't smash your fingers.

Ship tip

Figure out landmarks in the ship to get your bearings. Would be great if they would put signs so you could tell if you were forward or aft. I was always on the opposite end from where I needed to be.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
We departed from her. Did no excursion.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

3 out of 5
Not much here unless you do an excursion, which I didn't.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We head to tender, which was rough, but not the norm. Went to Nachi Cocum on my own and it was great.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The departure numbers displayed on the monitors were not correct and announcements for departures were not played on the pool deck so you were not informed.

Are you talking about bonine? Which is the same as meclizine?

That cruise all the time. Over the counter 24 hour motion sickness pills, start taking them three days prior and continue to take them three days after you get back from your cruise. I didn’t have any trouble at all.

I have motion sickness very bad also. I can’t even sit through a whole movie at the movie theater. But before we flew and went on our cruise to Alaska last year. I got some really good advice from some friends

I think we will start taking meclizine 2 days before we board...

It is something to be concerned about. We had a great time but I was down for the count for half the time because of motion sickness....even with a patch 🤢 a cool front came in on Sunday and really made the sea rough

I'm concerned with motion sickness due to the ship size.

We sail on her in 68 days, first time on the Vision. We are excited.
