Seeing Cuba was a dream come true. The lectures were outstanding and the guides provided additional information. Trinidad was our favorite city. I lived through the Cuban Missile Crisis. Ever since Americans couldn't travel to Cuba, I've wanted to go there, so when Obama made it possible, I was quick to sign on. The window now appears to be closing. Go while you can. It is definitely not to be missed.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Love Vikings alcohol policy. Having wine with lunch and dinner and being invited to bring a bottle onboard made it unnecessary to purchase their drinks, which are very reasonably priced for a cruise ship. My daughter and her husband purchased the $139 drink package and made good use of it, trying the more pricey wines and cocktails. Chef's Table was the better of the two specialty restaurants, but food in the Restaurant and also the buffet was excellent. Sushi and the ice cream bar at the buffet made it a fun choice for lunch.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
I didn't use any of the activities, but my family seemed to really appreciate the spa. We were happy not to have a casino. I would have liked to have had a sing along piano bar, which I really enjoyed on my last Crystal cruise.

Children's Programs
I don't think children were welcome on this cruise. Another plus from my viewpoint.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone made the effort to remain cheerful and provide top service throughout the cruise.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was beautiful and comfortable. It was only six weeks old when we boarded. The design was outstanding and very functional. Super comfortable beds and pillows.
Cabin / Stateroom

Nice that all rooms come with balconies. Size seemed comparable to other cruise ships I've been on.
Ship tip
Make your reservations for the specialty restaurants and beauty treatments immediately because best times fill up fast.
Went directly from airport to ship then from ship to airport. Would have liked an opportunity for a shore excursion to fill the 8 hours we waited from our return flight.
Fast Eddie didn't seem to understand what the Hemingway House Tour was. After seeing everything, he just told us other things we could do. We wanted to get back to the ship, but he just made sure that we gave him our names and then pointed us in the direction of the trolleys. Tour had included a very long walk, and the walk back to the trolleys was said to be 10 blocks, but seemed like more. We had paid for the Glass Bottom Boat Tour, which was canceled. Except for too much walking, I'd recommend seeing the Hemingway House with the six-toed cats.
Disembarkation went very well. I'll know better than to book a cruise that includes air next time, though. Sitting in the Miami Airport for 8 hours before boarding a 6-hour flight was hard.
The Ship is very new and nice - food is good And service good to fair - overnight in Havana was ok -too much time on the bus - dinner was not good - hotel ok - bay of pigs tour was a wast of time unless you can speak and read Spanish. Our guide was very good.
