I have no complaints about the ship or staff... food very good and they handled the norovirus outbreak very well. My complaint is the ports of call. They obviously got cheap port charges to lure them to some of these ports. I f you are considering a trip through Indonesia, check out Silverseas, their itinerary is far better.

The itinerary is not good. Long drives from the port to the city. Included tours are a waste of time. Sitting on a bus the whole time stuck in traffic. Some ports of call just not worth seeing as nothing there and the pollution and garbage will make you sick.
We paid $259 C each for the 10 tour of the city. What we received was 6 hours on a bus... 3 hours there and back. No toilet on bus. Guide was good but not worth the money. We stopped at the big buddah and the grand palace.... too many people had only about half an hour there, just not enough time. A little cruise down the river in Bangkok was nice with lunch, but that is all we saw and then a long bus ride home.
Hired a private driver from the port.. ( I usually do this months in advance but was booked to take the ships tour. After Bangkok we decided to go with private drivers. )and he took us to the Batu caves and all other places we wanted to go to. VEry reasonable.
Beautiful city, our included tour got all messed up because of the rain, the driver took us to the Gardens by the bay instead which was nice. But again didnt see anything else of this lovely city. And an early departure.
This is the absolute worst port. Filthy and not a thing to see or do. We did take their excursion just to see but stuck in traffic the whole time, it is not sparkling surabaya as they advertise.
Bali was beautiful and we enjoyed it greatly. But we disembarked and stayed on the Island for 3 more nights at our own hotel that we chose. If you do not stay over you will see nothing of Bali. You arrive at 6pm , it is dark and then you fly home the next morning if you havent booked to stay at a hotel. So definitely book your own accomodations and private tours and stay a few days in Bali
