Viking Mimir Cruise Reviews - Reviews

I was so very disappointed that a excursion to what I have planned my whole trip around was canceled.we were to go to the Neushwanstien castle.Not sure why it was canceled but it was. Very disappointing!

This was our first river cruise, and our first Viking cruise. We loved every minute, and can't wait to come back.

In a word Fabulous.  Although there was a low water level situation in all of Europe in almost major rivers that we went through, Viking ( not their fault water is low )  made the transition seamless.  Yes, we have to change ship twice and it entailed packing and unpacking,  But Viking, for the first time in their history, made sure that the same crew came with us until the end of the tour.  We have the same Program Director, all the dining staff, and the Room Stewards. Concierge and Front Desk people.  Their services were impeccable and utterly professional.  The passengers had no cause for complaints.  Viking even gave us a 15% voucher for a future cruise, a free Vienna Chamber Music concert.  I sure am going to use Viking again,  Tip:  Viking has the world's largest fleet of river ships.  In case of need of ship swapping, there would always be available similar ships to use,  What more could you ask ?  

This was a horrible experience for us. Virtually no air conditioning or inadequate air in the room and excursion buses. No entertainment. Unusable balcony due to close proximity to next boat.

did not feel the cruise was as advertised.....most of the ports were not right in the center of old towns and we needed to take buses. There was not enough time to spend in ports. Felt very restricted and the was minimal activity to do on the boat as compared with an ocean trip. 

Overall the Mimar and Vili (we were on both) are wonderful boats. The facilities were easy to use and available at all times. The dining room and grill had excellent food. The staff on the Vili were outstanding, the staff on the Mimar were not as efficient or as friendly. Both chefs had outstanding menus for all meals.
