This was our first River Cruise and our honeymoon.  Viking took care of every detail - they thought of things we hadn't even considered (but that's what they do all day)!  The meals were like a 5Star Restaurant every night.  The Viking cruise director recommended places to eat & drink in the towns and even gave you warnings of tourist traps to steer clear.  I can't say enough about how wonderful the trip was....the only recommendation I would give Viking is that they need to provide accommodations for more active seniors like bicycles or walking tours - not everyone is 80 or can't walk too far, especially after all those wonderful meals!Happy

Cabin / Stateroom
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Ship Quality
Loved the heated bathroom floors!
Destinations and Excursions
Onboard Activities After all the daytime excursions, I'd be too tired to participate anyways. The did a few things that were nice but I didn't really have time for them.
Children's Programs
Not really geared for children which is good. Mostly adults and some older teenagers who were very well-mannered.
Service and Staff
Food and Dining

Don't bother bringing an umbrella - they have plenty onboard to provide when you leave the ship. Maybe just a rain jacket if it's raining that day.
