A great first time river cruise. We had an excellent staff and made friends o board. We thought we would be the youngest at 30 but there were several people our age that made us feel at ease. The Christmas markets were great, food on board was amazing, only downside to the whole trip was the rainy weather.

When the weather was nice, walking the deck was great. Only one night of trivia, I was expecting more things nightly, like on ocean cruises. There were two enrichment performance nights of classical music which was nice but not my thing.

The musician on board did not play every night because there was an issue with her sound system. For a Christmas cruise, we had to specifically ask for Christmas music.

For a small cabin we fit perfectly. The small window at water level was a novelty. We rarely spent time in the room except to sleep and shower. The shower had amazing water pressure and heated floors.
Ship tip
Be prepared to eat on the schedule, if you miss a dining time, you may miss out on eating that meal, there are no buffets or quick grab and go other than coffee and cookies.
Easy as embarkation, bus to airport, but it was at 4am for a 1030am flight, and the people on board who had the 6am bus made it to their flight with plenty of time. When the bus dropped us off at munich airport at 545 am, the terminal was closed, and we waited till 830 to get to our gate.
