Review summary

This cruise was booked before Covid, we were a bit worried about the potential Omicron variant being much more easily transmitted. But decided to go, keep ourselves were possible away from close contact. Really glad we went, had a great time. So good booked for similar cruise not next year but the year after. Really nice to have the break before returning to work. Good ship, you get what you pay for, P&O fit our budget I can clearly see the offering has been watered down from the past. But still a good. Value as far as we are concerned.

Embarkation

Due to a lot of people cancelling the checking in process was very smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We were booked for club early sitting, food excellent and we were very well looked after. The highlight was the New Years Eve meal it was fantastic, I had the beef fillet ended up getting given a second portion.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
They clearly had some challenges as a number of the show's we had previously booked did not take place. However I'd like to call out the excellent house band Pulse. With Kyle and Annabelle and the very talented guitarist Harry. We went to every show but thought that they were best in Havana. They struggled a bit with the low attendance in the vast main theatre. A similar situation for Liss Jones.

Entertainment

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
Had teenage daughter kids club was used just to meet people.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff we came into contact with were polite, efficient and sorted whatever was asked for.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Been on the ship before, only comment is due to the need to segregate some cabins for Covid quarantine. You cannot get to deck B,C,D via the rear lifts or staircase. So meant as we were on C deck had to use mid-ship stairs or lifts and walk back.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin fine, a little dated but as expected. Beds comfortable, plenty of hot water. Excellent balcony size
