Review summary

Stunning ladyship, wasn't really sure what to expect at first, but I'm really glad that I've given Virgin Voyages a go! Can't wait to book the next one now!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was very efficient, and was onboard within 30 minutes of arrival. Luggage was taken from me outside the terminal and labelled up, then through to check-in where they checked the relevant documents. Sat in a holding area for about 5 minutes before being called through to Security, then on to the courtesy shuttle bus from portside to ship!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and drink was simply out of this world, not your typical cruise line food but very different, with all of the 'speciality' restaurants included in the cost of the booking! I'd highly recommend Extra Virgin and The Wake.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were plenty of onboard activities, from gaming workshops, quiz's, karaoke, fitness classes, photography classes etc. It would be good if they had a gathering for solo cruisers too, as can imagine some people may find it quite lonely onboard.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainment was fantastic, especially the Dual Reality show in the Red Room and of course Scarlet Night! My only criticism would be that there needed to be more daytime entertainment too.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The crew were great in general, though some of the entertainment cast could have been friendlier.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I was most pleasantly surprised by the ship itself, she really was a stunning lady, and I would happily sail on her again.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was lovely, very spacious and comfortable for a Solo Insider.

Ship tip

Be open-minded, don't be afraid, and have a fantastic time!

Ports of call

Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

5 out of 5
Bruges was absolutely beautiful, lots of photo opportunities, delicious beer, chocolates and waffles. The Shore Things (excursions) seemed a little on the expensive side. Just opposite the terminal in Zeebrugge there is a company called Cruise Express, only €20 for a return journey in to Bruges itself! Took 30 minutes each way.

Portsmouth, England

5 out of 5
Great shopping and leisure facilities at Gunwharf Quays!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very quick and easy disembarkation, with the added benefit of not having to vacate your cabin until 11am, allowing plenty of time to have a leisurely final morning breakfast.
