I have always loved Royal Carribean. I am an Emerald member. In the past you would get some perks for this - coupons. For an example, they say you get a glass of wine for 1/2 off. They have this on their app. The problem you don't get the perk. I had to go to customer service to adjust this and they couldn't figure out how to do this. So I didn't use any others because they were supposed to be automatic but they weren't . The Compass was on the app. It was good in some respects and not in others. I am not one who likes to be on their phone all the time. Also - just have free internet!
Some people that I spoke to said they felt they were "nickled and dimed" I felt the same. They had popcorn at a show and were charging $7. - crazy.

You now get a text on when you can board the ship. Unfortunately we could only book at 1:30 time. We did show up early and we were able to board the ship.

I have been on many cruises. The food in the main dining hall was sub par and the service was rushed and impersonal. It was a bit better than throughing the plates on the table. It is not the experiance I remember. It all depended on what bar you went to. Some were horrible and others were good.

Pools- there wasn't much room to go in the pools. The adult solariam did not have a pool, it had an 'pool" that had lounge chairs you can't swim.

The entertainment at the pools, theaters, and water show was extremely loud. many people with apple watches were going off because the decibles were sho loud. it made the experiance difficult to enjoy. The smaller venues were much better.

There was no personal service in the dining rooms. It was not the experiance I remember from other cruises. It was just short of throwing the plates on the table. The specialty resturants were much better, attention to detail. Our stewart didn't come in to our room in the evening to provide clean towels. We had to call late one night after a beach day because we didn't have any clean towels. In past cruises I never had to do this. There was a lack of feeling pampered as other cruises. The entire cruise was missing something in this respect. Staff was friendly.

It was big, a lot of space to hang clothes. The bathroom was a good size. I enjoyed the view of Central Park.
Ship tip
Go to the Solarium for breakfast. It is a relaxing place for breakfast. I would also try for dinner, it has many great choices.
It was a zoo. There were two ships when we were there. All we heard is about paying for a cabana or places at the beach. There is a free beach, be sure to get there early if you want a place by the water. The beach chairs are so close together. It was not relaxing. You felt that everyone was on top of each other. The bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed the floating bar - that was pretty cool!
We decided last year that Royal was not the cruiseline for us. They nickle and dime passengers that are not diamond status or higher or are not traveling with kids.
