I'll start out with all cruises are good cruises. No major issues to complain about, this was my 2nd Royal cruise. I've decided I seem to like NCL and Carnival better. I've always felt more welcomed & comfortable on the other lines. I don't forsee another Royal cruise in the near future. (Pending a incredible deal of corse)

All the meat in the MDR was way over cooked, I like a medium steak/prime rib by day 3 i was ordering meat rare and it was still coming out medium-well. Even the 2nd night when I asked for another one, no better.
Plenty of choices but nothing great. Sorrentos might be the best free cruise pizza there is.
Onboard Activities

Free zip line was short but good. Kids enjoyed the flow rider and rock wall but plan on a long wait for both.
Only had time slots for 400 of the 6000 people on board to ice skate.
All venues other than main theater are to small for activities
Entertainment

Shows were all good. Just know you will need reservations and still show up more than 30 minutes early for decent seats.
Service and Staff

Staff was friendly, but have had much better service in the past. (On Royal & other lines)
Ship Quality

Ship appeared clean. I think a ship this size needs 3 elevator banks as the 2 they have didn't disperse crowed enough.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was standard. With 4 in a cabin I would much prefer a bunk style bed, as when trundle was pulled out you could not access balcony, fridge, and a few drawers.
Ship tip
Take stairs whenever possible, be prepared to wait for everything.
My husband and I prefer the smaller ships these new ones are just too big and too many people. We have been sailing on RC for 32 years. Went on NCL Encore and was not a fan - all areas are way too small and the pool - well they may as well not have one.

I didnt have any great issue on symphony inaugural Voyage in November 2018 very smooth and perfect..the only thing that Laser tag is very challenging to participate because of long lines
Very fair review. Some of the things may not be Royal's fault though. The service, including cooking, is probably due to new staff... Was that 400 ice skaters per day or the whole week? If per day that's about half the ship so pretty good. If per week that's a joke... Maybe you would like a a smaller Royal ship better.
