Paradise during Pandemic by cwolfe63925173

Best cruise ever. The main reason for this is because we got a Junior Suite instead of just a balcony. The amount of room that we had sure made this sailing the best. The walk in closet and extra large balcony, not to mention, no I must mention the bath tub!!!! I LOVE bubble baths and this happened for the first time. Mohan Swift was the best steward we have ever had and was so willing to do anything to make us comfortable. He kept the room so perfect. He totally spoiled us all. The BEDDING was dreamy. So much so, I just ordered it from RC.

Symphony TA by JonnSusan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

Our cabin was #8236, a Jr. Suite, midship on deck 8. The accommodations were great. We had 6 or more sleepless nights due to the excessive noise from the two corners of the room and the bathroom. We have cruised approximately 30 times, about 20 with Royal. This was not our first TA. It was the first time we thought our cabin might end up in the ocean the jarring and thuds were so extreme. We had to contact guest services three times, the engineers came out – one time removing the ceiling from our room. Ronald Zunic told us as this was the first time the Symphony had been in the ocean, they did not know she would react this way to the swells we were having – although the noise continued to occur when we came out of the weather. Mr. Zunic indicated it was structural and there was nothing they could do at that time. We have recordings of the noise, which at times sounded like we were in the middle of a hurricane. Guest Services indicated we would be contacted regarding compensation as this was definitely not an acceptable situation; we should be able to sleep in our cabin at night. I can understand music from bands, racket from a galley above your room, etc.; but structural groans, grinding and clanging that is so loud sleep is unattainable for half of the voyage does not make for a pleasurable journey.
