Review summary

Can’t blame Princess for the heavy seas, but we were rocking ten days. We don’t get sea sick, but some in our party spent days in their cabin. I like the layout of the ship, but is in dire need of an update. I feel Princess has cut back on some perks and the quality of the food was not that good. We were on this ship a year ago and I remember the food being better. Can someone answer this? Sail to Hawaii, but not have any pineapple in the buffet, or anywhere else.

Wait staff was great, food on Princess was not what we are used to on past cruises. Disappointed in the MDR and specialty restaurants, the buffet was better.

Onboard Activities

Plenty of onboard activities. The pools were closed most days because of heavy seas.

Entertainment

As usual, the production shows were okay. A couple of good comedians and good singers.

Excellent as always on Princess.

Layout is great but this ship is showing its age. We were told she is going to dry dock in April, and that’s not soon enough.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin has enough room and our cabin steward Newton was great. Plenty of closet space and balcony was clean and had room for two.

Ship tip

This ship needs to be refurbished, now. The toilets in our section were not functional at least half the time, which effected six cabins. The food in Sabatinis was no better than the main dining room. We were told they had five more cruises before dry dock. Overall condition of this ship is in need of rehab desperately.

Went to El Bufadora (blow hole). Booked off the ship. Had not been to Ensenada in years and it sure has grown, now over 500,000. Housongs Cantina also a must see.

We are taking her to Alaska in July, glad she is going into dry dock soon for medallion class update. I heard she was moving to Sydney for 2021
