Review summary

We like the whole cruise thing, sea days, ports and the people on the ship.  The problem with the Star Princes is the Princes Theater is poorly managed.  We stopped waiting 45 minutes which was required to get a seat for a 30 minute show. Some cruise lines take reservation so you know you will get in, even tho you may not know where you will sit.  Lucky the tro in the atrium were very GOOD.  Could not enjoy the Vista longue as there was always a movie or hula something going on.  Yes we were going to Hawaii,, but 15 days of Hawan's music ,,,duh,

Inside cabin next to a large aft facing suite, was afraid there might be a large family in the suite, noise etc, but there was only a couple.

Ship tip

Expect your food to not be hot.

my friend said they could never get in to see the evening show. I didn't believe her. so is there only one show per evening? on celebrity they had two shows to accommodate dinner times.

The bigger lounges (Wheelhouse, Vista, Explorers) probably need to be used for group activities during the day. We check the Princess Patter to see when there are no activities in a fav lounge and go there then. Agree Princess theater fills up for big shows but can usually find a seat 20-30 mins prior to event. They have drink service available so you can make it a pleasant experience. The shows are worth the wait. We enjoyed the Hawaiian themed music but found plenty of options in the Atrium ("International Trio"), guitar and piano soloists in Crooner's and Wheelhouse and some great Big Band/Ballroom music in Wheelhouse.
