Good itinerary, tired ship and crew

Sail Date: April 29, 2015

Room Type: Inside

As Platinum members of Princess' Loyalty program, we have come to know and appreciate the company's ability to provide quality service.  This ship is tired, constant plumbing problems and a really bad smell; the crew was lackadaisical. We loved the itinerary and haven't given up on Princess, but when it comes to the ship's overall management, we rate this at the bottom.

Ship Quality
Sewage smell pervaded many decks; we had ongoing plumbing problems in our cabin.
Food and Dining
Dinner in main dining room was good; otherwise food was mediocre.
Service and Staff
Rarely did the wait staff smile; we waited a long time for anyone to clear off a table; service has been much better on other Princess ships.
Entertainment
Entertainers (comedians, singers, musicians) brought to the ship from outside were significantly better than the staff entertainers.
Children's Programs N/A
Onboard Activities
Destinations and Excursions
Cabin / Stateroom
Ongoing plumbing problems
San Francisco, California
Honolulu, Oahu
Excursion to the USS Arizona Memorial was perfect.
Nawiliwili, Kauai
the Mud Bugger Excusion was overrated and signficantly overpriced. Would not recommend.o
Hilo, Hawaii
Great bus driver; too many commercial stops where you are encouraged to make a purchase.
Lahaina, Maui
Walking Tour was definitely a great way to see and learn about the island.
Ensenada, Mexico
N/A - For such a short time on shore, we chose not to get off the ship.

Tip

The ship is tired, old and poorly managed. Unless you are wedded to the itinerary, find another ship to travel on.
