The cruise is a great getaway and very relaxing. The staff for the most part were friendly and attentive and made our trip fun.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The club class dining was excellent but the Crown was a disappointment. The steaks we ordered were overcooked and "tough" . I had the porterhouse and my wife had the ribeye. Both were tough and most sent back. The lobster was good though.

Onboard Activities

Blackjack tournament was fun.

Entertainment

I only watched the passenger hula and ukulele show.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Dining staff Morge(sp) and DananJay were delightful and their service was outstanding. Our Club Class head waiter was also extremely attentive and prepared great surprise offerings.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is showing its age but was in very good condition.

Cabin / Stateroom

This Is one area that is showing its age. It just appears tired and the sofa was terrible and not comfortable.

Ship tip

Stay out of the Crown Grill. Not worth the money, otherwise a good trip.

We took a Princess bus tour of Wyameya (sp) canyon. Great tour and our bus driver/guide Lisa was a crack up and very informative.

Lahaina, Maui

We booked a Princess trip to Hana, an all day trip and very expensive. There were six of us in our group and we were assigned to a very old van. Our guide said that they had just installed new seats but not to set in the one next to the door because it had a large pillar obstructing the view. My wife and I sat in the back seats but her seat belt was broken so she had to set in the middle of the back seat, no view. The windows were narrow restricting any view up and there were two other large pillars. The only good views we had were when we stopped and got out! They advertised a picnic lunch. This consisted of chicken and fish wrap sandwiches and a pasta dish. This would have been fine if the was any fish in the wrap, it was mostly cabbage with two tiny pieces of fish. Wasted an entire day, complained to Princess and they refunded 25% of the cost, still they should never have used this company for this type of tour. I think that this company was used for an overflow group.

Ensenada, Mexico Did not visit port

I've been there several times.

On this cruise January 13. Hope the Crown has improved by then. We always enjoy several trips to the Crown.
