Review summary
Overall a great cruise! A little disappointed the weather didn't hold together for the port of Astoria, but the captain and crew were very professional and handled the extra sea day splendidly. Every crew member we encountered onboard was pleasant and professional, and we had a great cabin steward! The food in the dining room was delicious, and we would HIGHLY recommend both Crown Grill and Sabatini's if you like the specialty dining experience. Our cabin and all passenger areas were clean and organized. Loved having a balcony even on days when it was wet and rainy.

The Vancouver cruise port is one of the best I've been too. So easy to drop off your bags and get on the boat. Staff is extremely friendly and the views from the boat of the harbor and city are beautiful!

As always Princess has some of the best staff in the crew industry! Always there when you need them, and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure you have a great cruise.

Great cabin! Lots of storage, clean, and the balcony was incredible! Some have said in the past they were worried about being under the gym, however we did not hear a thing during our entire cruise. The only downfall to being on the Lido deck is there is no self serve laundry facility close by, you have to go down at least a deck or two. Not a huge deal but at times inconvenient if your in a rush to press a shirt before dinner.
Ship tip
The promenade deck on this class of ship circles the entire boat. It was wonderful being able to get out and get some exercise even on days when it was raining.
Highly recommend the Bay Bridge and Alcatraz tour! It was a little higher in price then we'd normal spend for an excursion but we had an amazing tour guide and everything was timed our perfectly so we could still spend some time after in the wharf.
So glad you enjoyed your Star Princess cruise. While I have not been on the Star, my Princess cruises would have very similar reviews. Very happy with Princess!
