Review summary

We enjoyed this cruise and the itinerary. We have sailed previously on Wind Spirit, which was nice, but we really like the Star Pride class ships.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was very good with lots of choices to order off the menu. Although the ship had a buffet, we never chose it because the cooked to order choices were so good in the other dining areas.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Nature lectures and chef’s cooking demonstrations

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Okay, but the music was not to our taste.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful. 24 Hour room service was a real plus.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were pleased with our cabin. The cabins that were added in the ship expansion have the bed by the windows, which is a better layout. We will choose one of them on our next cruise.

Ship tip

See comment on rooms. Don’t buy the drinks package unless you really want to drink a lot. WiFi is available at every stop, and the $35 a day onboard WIFI is quirky and unreliable.

Visited the cocoa plantation. It is very interesting after a rough ride across the island.

Real confusion in the port when a Windstar rep sent us the wrong way.
