Review summary

We very much enjoyed the whole experience. It was nice to have a place to eat and sleep every night and not have the need to find a hotel and restaurant. We thought the ports of call were all beautiful and enjoyed the tours we took. The stop at Corfu did seem a bit rushed with only a 7 hour stop. There was a lot to see and do there and not enought time to enjoy the island. This was our second cruising experience and we will be looking for opportunities to do more.

Ports of call

Santorini, Greece

This was a really beautiful place in a rugged kind of way. It is very hilly and you need to be able to walk up and down to enjoy the sights. Oia city was really unique in its layout and the brilliant colors of the buildings. The way houses are built up the sides of the mountains is very interesting. The views down to the water are awesome. The only complaint was the early hour to leave the ship (7am) and the fact that the tours and the arrival of the ship were not coordinated very well. The Windjammer didn't open as early as it needed to for people to have a meal. The ship arrived later than the time that the first tours were to leave and nothing was said about how tours were going to be affected. It meant we had to wait in the theater longer than we should have had to. The beaches are eay to get to on a bus but they are not sandy. They are black rocks and were cold when we visited in early May. Since I don't drink, I would skip the winery tour.
Don't Miss: Oia city. Also the cable car ride down to the dock where the tenders pick up passengers.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

5 out of 5
The tour of the ruins at Ephesus was not to be missed. The condition was as good as any we had seen in Italy. The Turkish people were friendly and reasonable to deal with althought you have to be careful with the guys trying to sell you old coins. They are all reproductions and they are trying to pass them off as genuine. I don't know if the one young man who offered me ten camels for my daughter was serious or not. I didn't except.
Don't Miss: Ephesus.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

5 out of 5
We were really pleased to have had the opportunity to see this city and country. We had no idea it was as beautiful as it was. Visiting the old city was interesting. The gelatto is first rate.
Don't Miss: The overview point of the old city.

Corfu, Greece

Beautiful and green. Not as hilly as Santorini and much larger. Has an excellant beach at Palyokastirtsis. Skip the monastery and go to the beach. This was only a 7 hours stop and that was too short a time to see this island.
Don't Miss: Palyokastritsis, the views from the garden at the Achelion Palace

Pros: Good service from the crew and staff and positive attitudes

Cons: Shower water temperature was inconsistant
