Review summary

Overall the ship is fine. There is nothing about it that takes your breath away, but also, nothing that was a significant problem.

Ports of call

Santorini, Greece

1 out of 5
The ship tenders in Santorini. It takes two hours to get off and then you stand two hours in the broiling sun for a cable car to the top of the mountain. This leaves one with very little time to explore anything except the usual and customary collection of souvenir shops in the port. We did rent a car -- our comany stood us up, but we found one through Tony's Car Rental -- very nice people -- and drove part of the coast. Four cruise ships were in port that day and we were told to avoid Thira as it would be a mad house -- we took the opposite direction. We tripped across a tiny Santorini village and had lunch by the sea in a family taverna as locals brought in small catches. This was heaven. The rest of Santorini is vastly overrated in our opinion. I would not stand in line for the cable cars just to see the port. FYI, Royal Caribbean did a very poor job of communicating this in advance, which makes planning difficult.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

5 out of 5
Ephesus should be on everyone's must see iist. We hired a private tour and saw the House of the Virgin Mary, St. John's Basilica, the city of Ephesus, the Isa Bay mosque, the village of Sirince, a leather maker's shop, and a rug weaving shop. We ate Turkish food at a local Turkish buffet. Our guide and our tour company were fabulous. This was one of the best trips we've ever made and can't wait to return.
Don't Miss: The ancient city of Ephesus, the house of the Virgin Mary, the village of Sirince.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik is an enchanting city that you can't see because the citizens have hidden it behind a thick layer of souvenir shops. The charm of the city is almost oblterated. We were very dissappointed. The best site was the synagogue.

Corfu, Greece

Corfu was lovely. We rented a car and drove the Northern Island. Gorgeous cedar trees and a few nice ruins. Lovely seas and beaches, if that is your thing.
Don't Miss: The scenery
