Review summary
The Sovereign of the Seas is clearly an aged ship. The shower in the cabin overflowed everytime it was used and the toilet didn't flush period for two of the three days of the cruise. It was my spouses birthday and I ordered her a cake and room decorations. Besides costing $41, the cake tasted like garbage and was dry as a bone. This was our first cruise EVER and our entire second day at Coco Cay was cancelled (5 minutes before disembarking) because the captain felt that the inclement weather (of which there was none seen) was coming in 3-4 hours and he didn't want to put everyone in harms way. So for the cost of the cruise, we got to spend about 1 hour in the ocean and about 36 hours on the ship. The smarter thing to do would have been to just fly to Atlantis, which we visited while in Nassau. Everyone looked like they were having fun there!Ports of call
Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)
Pros: Getting off the boat.
Cons: Having our entire 2nd day cancelled and the 10-12 foot waves on the first night.
Recommends Sovereign of the Seas? No.
