Sovereign of the Seas

4 Night Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip)

Sail date: June 26, 2006

Ship: Sovereign of the Seas

Cabin type: Inside

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 18 years ago

Review summary

Even though the ship was slightly older in age, it was not reflected in the quality, and/or appearance of it's interior! The staterooms are very nice, the food is the best I've had in my life, the service is beyong incredible, and the fun provided is neverending!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Imagine the fanciest, most taste tingling restaraunt you have ever been to, multiply it by ten, and then you may get close to the quality provided at dinner. The experience was wonderful!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
There was a lot of variety in the entertainment and activities. The schedule was accomodating to many types of people who prefer many types of different hours. Play Quest! It's a MUST!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the ships staff was always friendly, helpful, and we were very impressed with their eagerness to go "above and beyond"

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship size was nice because it accomodated everything we wanted to do while we were on the ship. Everywhere we went on the ship was very clean, and the decor is immaculate!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Choose a stateroom that you know will be accomodating for your guests, and luggage because the one thing we regretted was not having enough room (which was our fault).

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Must see is Atlantis on Paradise Island! Beyond explainably beautiful! Rent jetskis! It was well worth our money because you could see the ocean floor from about 50 yeards away from shore! Restaraunt Bimini Road on Paradise Island was very nice, nice atmosphere, but we had a poor waitress, and it cost us $150 for 4 people...which would have been ok if our waitress was not so lazy.
Don't Miss: Atlantis

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Go to their straw markets, they are much neater than Nassau...Go snorkling, you will see so many fish/stingrays. It was well worth our money!

Pros: Excursions, Dinner, Ship Atmosphere, Service

Cons: We chose a smaller room. We know not to next time!
