Review summary

I thoroughly enjoyed the ease of the medallion. So many tools and options available with it. Loved being able to locate shipmates or see what is going on around the ship.

Embarkation

Great! The medallion process made our embarkation smooth, fast and easy. No long lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Delicious, both offer great varieties of food. I was disappointed Lobster was.not offered on the last night in the dining room.

Entertainment

Steve White was fantastic, the very best show all week. The Five Lives show was spectacular. I did not care for the magician. The ship activities staff were talented and fun, especially the events in the atrium.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our dining room server, Judit was terrific, she made every dinner fun and enjoyable. Her assistant Angelito was also a lot of fun. Both of them kept us coming back to the dining room every night. However some of the staff personalization seemed to be missing based on previous cruises. Little touches such as the surprise towel characters in the room weren't there. It seemed more of a sterile interaction with various staff than it has been on previous cruises. They were always friendly but yet seemed rushed like they couldn't take time to interact with passengers. I especially felt this in the World Market.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was sparkling clean and constantly being maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was great. Our only issue was a lack of electrical outlets. Two of the 3 roommates use CPAP units to sleep at night. There were no outlets near the bed to accommodate the medically necessity units. Our cabin stewart Maurice brought us a long extension cord which worked but also created a tripping hazard overnight. USB plugs would have also been helpful, we were surprised that a new ship would lack these basic necessities. The sofa bed was really comfortable and firm. The hair dryer cord was hardwired in the vanity drawer eliminating multiple hair drying locations/options which tied up the vanity area for the other roommates.

Ship tip

Bring an electrical cord with multiple plugs to accommodate phones, tablets, battery packs etc.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

Not much to do there. Shopping was limited to only a few small shops.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Beautiful port! We did not do an excursion however we did take the skylift to the top of Paradise and enjoyed a Bushwacker drink.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Beautiful! Took an excursion to zipline, tube and experience the Flying Dutchman. All were great experiences but due to rain we had a long delay to ride the Flying Dutchman. There is a bar we utilized while waiting but there were no food items available. Even pretzels, cookies or chips would have been helpful. We were up there from 11 to 230 so were getting hungry. A snack would have been a nice option.

Disembarkation

Easy and fast.
