The folks we met were lovely. The ship is pristine. We were an active crowd so tours could have been more exciting and meals more variety/innovative. The S.A.L.T lab cooking class was great too.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Drinks were great, tasty, innovative, not too sweet when requested and generous pour, good name brands. All restaurants were very good, the menus never really changed, so that got old, so I took one star off. The lunch buffet was fantastic with many choices. Fresh fruit was there at breakfast and lunch. Atlantic’s for a La crate breakfast was just average, the buffet at La terraria for breakfast with the omelet station was much better. The ship should have offered more local fish choices, such as innovative dishes with salmon or halibut.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Fitness center was great for a ship this size and there were several Pilates and stretching classes offered without charge. The on board entertainers were quite good. Putting contests were hilarious and well attended. The MC for trivia was terrific, Bruno, trivia was great!

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was well trained, made excellent eye contact, smiled, knew our preferences, room service was prompt and fresh and hot. Our room was immaculate and cleaned several times per day it seemed. They were also unobtrusive.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
All venues were easy to get to.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Best cabin on the boat as far as less motion and convenience to all venues and laundry.
Ship tip
My only gripe was not enough variety for dinners and some of the excursions were not well curated as far as the guides go. I.e. dull
Lousy walking tour, guide did not give interesting info, trip to fish market was not sampling from the many stalls which looked good, but instead we went to a restaurant that gave us samples of vile fish.
Rainy that day, a huge ship was in port that had 6000 folks on board, port too small to handle that many. It was a pretty fjord to sail in and out of. We did a hike that should have been cancelled as the trail was too dangerous, two passengers were injured. During the hike the guide did not give background info on the area. The farmhouse visit was really a dark cabin where they served soggy waffles. Nothing about farm life.
Lovely little town, town too crowded to enjoy local pubs. The ship was not allowed in on time, but the captain made sure we did our excursions when the ship could have cancelled it. Our walking tour was lousy, guide made no sense.
Viking bike tour was great, lots of commentary to local sites, the museum tour the day before was just ok as the guide didn’t give us any exciting back story or point out must see at these extensive museums, just “ meet back at bus in an hour”
