Review summary

Lots of 8- 10 hour tours nearly every day. Most were rated strenuous. It was off season, but the excursions were not adjusted to reflect that the shops were closed.

Excellent

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Liked Sette Mare the best

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Only points given to top three places. So with 20 to 30 participants, most of us got no points. Cheap attitude by RSSC

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Would be better if shows started 15-30 minutes earlier.

Service and Staff

Ship tip

Compass Rose has great selection but food is not always hot.

Ports of call

Salerno (Naples), Italy

4 out of 5
Tour of Herculean was very strenuous. But not rated as so

Siracusa, Sicily

5 out of 5

Valletta, Malta

3 out of 5
Malta Experience seating is very worn and some headphones were broken.

TUSCANY (LIVORNO), ITALY

4 out of 5
The guide insisted we stay the whole allotted time even though most shops were closed for the season.

Marseille (Provence), France

4 out of 5
Had 2 hours for lunch. Shops closed during mid day.

Palamos, Spain

4 out of 5
Again very little open as the season had ended, but guide rushed us through the walking portion.

Barcelona, Spain

2 out of 5
Chocolate factory tour was excessively long. Really just a stop to buy overpriced chocolate. Cava tour was detailed down to the cap used on the bottle. The winery guide spoke in Catalan and the tour guide then translated into English.

Next time just explore on your own. I think the excursions are for tourist.

Cruising off-season, may mean less crowds on board ship, but also less activities and things to see in ports
