Review summary

Bermuda is Paradise and I cannot wait to go back!!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation at Boston Cruise Port was SO fast and easy it was almost concerning! Boston is our home port, but we have only ever embarked out of New York which is well organized, but is extremely long and cumbersome. A 180 degree experience!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Only rating 4 out of 5 because we found the main dining room food sub par, at best. The presentation, temperature, and taste of the food in the MDR was poor. The buffet was OUTSTANDING! They had a wide variety including a meat carving station! Everything was delicious. We did not plan on specialty dining; however, because the main dining room was poor and we wanted a break from buffet dining, we ate at chops grille which was DELICIOUS! In fact, because we were so impressed with chop’s grille, we ate at Giovanni’s the next night which was an unforgettable experience!!! The Capesante al Forno were the best scallops we have ever tasted. The Risotto Ai Fungi Trifolati and Filetto di Pollo Ripieno di Ricotta e Funghi, Salsa alla Salvia e Chardonnay are a must try!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
This ship doesn’t have as much to offer as many of their other ships. It depends whether or not that is something you’re looking for.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
We were disappointed not to have seen any of the acts or shows. This is something we always look forward to, but they did not sound appealing. The performers who played throughout the ship were outstanding!!!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward was incredible! The wait staff in the specialty restaurants were beyond professional (especially those at Giovanni’s) as were most of the bartenders.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Always clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size of our cabin was perfect! Very spacious for two people. The bed was very comfortable! Our stateroom was always kept very clean by our stateroom steward.

Ship tip

Not the ship for those looking for all the bells and whistles.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
This is our home port.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
King’s Wharf, Bermuda is absolutely stunning! Historical landmarks amid crystal clear turquoise blue waters. It is easy to walk and navigate on your own. The residents are so welcoming and kind. I cannot wait to go back!

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Completely disorganized! It took hours to get off of the ship. They told us to arrive to the theatre by 9:15am. On our way to the theatre, we were confronted with a line that extended all the way into the shops (midship). The line was stopped with no movement for two hours. The doors to the theatre were still closed and they would not let anyone in to sit down. It wasn’t until an elderly woman complained she needed to sit that they finally allowed everyone in to sit down and continue to wait. Those with priority disembarkation got off the same time as everyone else. The staff was rude during the process, as well. There were times we wondered if there could have been a safety concern forcing us to remain on the ship, but it seems after the elderly woman behind us expressed dissatisfaction with the process, we were off the ship within 30 minutes. Disembarkation is always expected to be a longer and boring process, but this was complete disorganized chaos!

I was on the same sailing, priority disembarkation. We got there around 8am and didn't leave the theater until around 9:15. No communication whatsoever!
