A Really Good Cruise

Sail Date: December 18, 2010

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was about 7 years old but you could not tell. We spent time in many areas (dining rooms, lounge areas, coffee shop and pool area) and all of the them were very clean and updated. The balcony stateroom was spacious. We had been on a cruise before and that cruise ship paled into comparison to this one.

Pros: The Cruise ship was very nice, clean and modern.

Cons: The shows were good but not great.

Recommends Serenade of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
The common areas were bright and airy. There were balconies up to level 12 that looked down on the Centrum. The Crew used the Centrum area to include all guests into parties that they had a couple of nights.
Food and Dining
Food in the main dining room was great. The food in the buffet areas was pretty good but the deserts could have been better.
Cabin / Stateroom
The balcony room was great and had a nice sitting area. The bathroom was a little small and the room did not have a flatscreen TV (small 19" standard TV).
Service and Staff
The ship staff was very friendly and helpful. The room stewart was very accomodating and always asked if we needed anything. The waiters and assistant waiters were really friendly, efficient and accomodating.
Entertainment
The shows were good but not great. I was expecting a little more. They had a movie theatre but it would have been good if they were playing updated movies (Just coming on DVD or still in Theatres).
Castries, St. Lucia
We went to the beach when we were at this port. The weather was great and the water was nice and warm.
