Review summary

Wonderful cruise, wonderful staff, wonderful ports of call.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was fast and easy. Due to continuing COVID restrictions, we unfortunately had to wear masks and get tested in a makeshift tent before getting on the ship, so that was very hot and draining. However, once on the ship, you are immediately provided with cool towels, a glass of champagne, and food. It was wonderful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The ship only has a outdoor deck side eating venue and a formal dining room. The food is 5 star. They make every effort to accommodate all eating preferences and restrictions (allergies, vegetarian, etc) and the chef can make virtually anything you request. We did not have one bad meal during the voyage.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We utilized the top deck pool and the spa. The spa is the only Thai-certified spa service at sea, and the staff is wonderful. My husband and I each had 3 massages during the week-long voyage. I also had a wonderful pedicure.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
There is a piano bar with a wonderful entertainer and wonderful bartender. Almost every evening the room was full with people singing along to well-known songs and having a great time well into the night. There were no stage shows or other types of performances.

Children's Programs

To my knowledge there were none and we had no children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone learned the passengers' names early in the week and would greet us each day by our names and with a smile. The dining staff was always attentive and accommodating, the stewardess in our room was quick with any request and always had the room made up quickly after we left in the morning, and the concierge team/activities staff was knowledgeable and helpful to answer all questions. We also got to know the head of hotels and activities director, and captain. All were sociable and friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean and someone was always working to ensure cleanliness throughout the day.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
For a ship standard room, it was quite large. We never felt cramped. The bed and bedding was comfortable, and the sofa/lounge area was roomy. The only complaint was that the room was a bit hot, even with the air turned on full blast. However, we were provided a fan and, with that on, we were quite comfortable. The shower was great and roomy as well.

Ship tip

If you want complete quiet while sleeping, do not book a room on level 4 near the piano bar. Also, be flexible with any land excursions you wish to take. Due to the limited number of passengers, some of the land excursions will be canceled due to lack of interest. We had to deal with that and wound up booking for a different excursion that had more people signed up.

Ports of call

Itea (Delphi), Greece

We did the excursion to Delphi ruins. The tour guide as very knowledgeable and interesting and we truly enjoyed seeing this historical site.

Fiskardho, Greece

Parga, Greece

5 out of 5
Parga was our favorite stop; however, it was also the shortest. We recommend changing up the itinerary, if possible, to allow more time to explore Parga. We would have loved some beach time, but it was just took short of a stop to do much. Even though the excursion that we wanted to take, to taste olive oil, was canceled, we managed to do it ourselves. We took the tour at Paragaea Old Olive Oil Factory and learned a lot and had a great time tasting some wonderful oils and dressings.

Kotor, Montenegro

3 out of 5
We did not love Kotor. We found it dirty and unmemorable. Many others seemed to have a different view leading us to wonder if we just didn't visit the right areas. This was our least favorite stop.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

5 out of 5
LOVED. We walked about the old town and took in the sites. We were staying a few extra days in Dubrovnik after the end of the cruise so we didn't feel rushed to see everything in one day. It was magnificent.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The staff was, again, helpful, got our bags out to the curb without any trouble to us, hailed us a cab, and gave us all of the information necessary to get through the port and go through customs.
