Review summary

The whole cruise was great. Food could improve. Service was excellent most of the time. Room Service was excellent. Ports of call were fabulous. We saw so many ports that we plan to revisit in the future.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
They shortened embarkation time and it was the fastest embarkation we ever had.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The Restaurant was our favorite for consistency and good food. We think that new crew members are in need of training and wait times for food some times was not acceptable. The Colonade was our favorite. It was fast, lots of seating. Best service. Great wait staff.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The fitness center was small. We would prefer a larger one. Also, we are extremely concerned there is no outdoor dedicated walking track. We got off at every port to walk.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All of the Ovation entertainers are top notch. They can sing, dance, and they are all very personable.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room stewards were the best ever. They came and went at least twice a day. Our room was always clean. The guest services staff was our very favorite. They were happy to talk with us and keep all passengers informed. If we asked for a copy of our account , it was immediately printed. Also, the baristas at Seabourn Square were the best ever. We got coffee every day.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The design of the ship was excellent. Only in need of heaters for seating out by the pool when it’s cold. Also, in need of a dedicated walking outdoor track.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We paid for upgrade for our preferred location on the ship. We were just 2 doors outside the Observation Bar. We stumbled in each morning at 6 AM to watch port docking, take pictures and have coffee and pastries. Quietest time at that location.

Ship tip

Don’t take a book. The library was great. My spouse finished 2 books from the library on the cruise. I finished one.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
So easy. We handled our own transportation so we went for breakfast and took our time leaving at 10 AM. Our bags were all together and taxis were in line with no waiting.
