Definitely a different type of cruise. Not sure we would do it again because of the poor music and the overly flamboyant LGBT sailors and entertainment crew.
Embarkation

Fun party to start off right!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Hit or miss. Depends on your idea of good food. An all vegan restaurant was not for us. A test kitchen also a weird combination and not for us. About half the restaurants were decent, other half not good.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Unless you like to workout, very limited activities. Silly trivia and board games. Hanging by the pool drinking was basically our 5 day experience. Unfortunately, no DJ or good music by the pool, unless you like elevator music while by the pool.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
Unfortunately, no DJ or good music by the pool, unless you like elevator music while by the pool. The entertainment staff was never seen during the day. Very flamboyant, drag and homosexual oriented entertainment at night parties.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Service staff was amazing!!! Always a smile and 100% willing to help you. We only had one poor staff member and he was part of the entertainment staff.

Cabin / Stateroom

Small, but we just slept there. Nothing special. Nice balcony and hammock.
Ship tip
This cruise line is easily 40-50% LGBT+. Didn’t bother us too much, but it was very in your face. Very flamboyant entertainment crew and sailors. They were allowed lots of leniency with clothing and actions. Meanwhile straight sailors were treated to a tighter standard. Not our thing, but like I said, we didn’t let it stop us from having a good time.
They let us hanging. No direction, no notes, nothing… we had to figure out how and when to get off the ship in our own. Very very poor disembarking information.
We did a couple VV this past year and i know exactly what the OP is meaning. We are good with the whole “you be you thing” however VV has a way of stuffing this in your face while onboard. It’s like they are trying way too hard. Strange prediction, they sell off or re-market the brand and start filling those nice ships cause 1200 sailors won’t cut it..
I'm 54 and this wouldn't be my first choice in entertainment for a whole week but as the parent to 4 lgbtq+ kids this sounds like all in all a good family vacation for us. You weren't derogatory, simply explaining the type of entertainment it is. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for your review! Keep in mind 20% of Gen Z (1997-2003) identify as LGBTQ+, Gen Alpha will be higher. If you share being uncomfortable with LGBTQ+ behavior in front of 5 people, it’s likely 1 of them has not and may not ever come out to you.
