Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The staffs' services in both the International Dining room and Horizon court were exemplary. They were courteous, friendly and pleasant. The desserts were wonderful in both International Dining room and Horizon court. However, the foods were not enjoyable. The menus were limited and what I did order in the dining room was NOT good. The times I ordered the beef tenderloin, which should be very tender, was tough and chewy, tasted warmed over and not at all tasteful. We dined in the specialty steak restaurant and I ordered beef tenderloin thinking "specialty" should taste better. It did NOT! In fact they failed to bring out our french onion soup. They had delivered our steaks when we reminded them about our soup. They took the steaks back and brought out our soup. By the time the steaks were redelivered they are warmed over, tough and tasteless. Very disappointing for a specialty restaurant. I felt the menu choices was very limited and what was available catered to Asian choices. I'm not an adventurous eater so there were few choices I could choose from. What was available was not delicious or pleasing. Very disappointed in the FOOD overall.

Onboard Activities

Casino

1 out of 5

The casino was disappointing in how small it was. The machines seemed tight and weren't paying out enough to keep ones interest. If this is the best Princess can do then I won't be spending my money in the casino on my next cruise scheduled for April 1, 2018 to the Panama Canal.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The entertainment in the Princess Theater was stupid and boring. You shouldn't even call it entertainment. RCCL has great productions with amazing music and dance. Your production had one car and the scenery never changed. The singers were 2nd rate if that good. A juggler for entertainment, give me a break.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
This was my 22nd cruise so I feel I have experience and can determine good service. Our room steward, Edgar Avila, was the best we've ever had. He was always smiling, friendly, he spoke to us and called our names each time he saw us. He was always neat in his appearance too. Edgar went over and above when I asked for ice to ice my knee and on days we were on excursions provided ice without me asking. I've never had a more contentious room steward. Edgar is an asset to Princess.

Always neat and cleaned by Edgar.

Ship tip

Do everything you can to improve the food served in both Horizon and the dining rooms. Have a greater selection from which to choose.

The excursion companies Princess uses contract with a local jewelry store to take us to that jewelry store before they bring us back to the ship. However, their prices are sky high and the quality is poor. If I'm going to a jewelry store in one of these areas I would like to not feel the prices are hiked up for tourists.,

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Even after us filling out a form sent by Guest Relations about our disembarkation telling them we needed to leave the ship by 7:30 a.m. because we had a car picking us up at 8:30 a.m., they decided we needed to go off the ship at 10 a.m. That caused us to have to go back to them and again tell them we had to be off at 7:30 a.m. They gave us a new time of 7:30 a.m. but if they had read the form they sent it would have saved aggravation on my part with having to go back down and talk to them.
