Review summary

Although there were one or two "glitches", we were extemely pleased with our cruising experience aboard the Holland America Ryndam.  The fact that the Ryndam is smaller than many of the ships currently cruising the seas and oceans was a major plus for us.  Very good food, terrific stateroom service and an enjoyable itinerary made our seven days truly enjoyable.  We would not hesitate to take another cruise with HAL.

Call as early as you can to make your dinner reservations in the Rotterdam Dining Room. They fill up quickly; especially the tables for two!

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

We were not that crazy about Kusadasi, however, it is the port that gets you to Ephesus.

Mykonos, Greece

The ports were all, basically, nice. Least favorite, as indicated, was Kusadasi as it is soooooooooo touristy. But that is where we picked up a terrific private tour to Ephesus, so you are kind of stuck stopping there is Ephesus is a "must see" for you, as it should be. Lesbos and Cesme were both very nice; Mykonos was touristy and expensive but at least I got to see it once. Would not really go back to any of the ports except for Istanbul.
