Review summary

The Ryndam was a beautiful ship. This was our first cruise and we were not disappointed. It was everything we hoped it would be. The crew was so attentive. The suite we had was very comfortable. The ship was beautiful. Since it was a little smaller ship we were able to get very close to some of the glaciers. It was an amazing sight. We would definitely do this again.

We didn't spend much time in Skagway. We took the ferry to Haines for a kayaking trip on Chilkat Lake. It was fun, the lake was beautiful. We saw a bear fishing for salmon in the river near the lake. We got some wonderful photos! We talked to several passengers later that really enjoyed the train trip in Skagway, it sounded great, wish we could have done both.

We took the whale watching tour and were not disappointed. We saw a baby humpback and his mom. The baby played for a long time and it was a truly spectacular sight. We saw a group of five whales feeding. It was just great!

We did the zip line tour of the rain forest and it was absolutely awesome. It was the most fun I've had in years! The tour guides were excellent and very safety conscious. We saw an eagle up close, and eye to eye. It was great!
