Review summary

Sorry to tell anyone who experienced cold and rain on their Alaska cruise, but we had sun, blue skies, and warm temps the whole time! The scenery is beautiful. Princess did a great job of telling us where we would be sailing each day, and gave so much helpful info on each area. We saw whales, dolphins, eagles, even Orcas! Highly recommend this trip!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We dropped off our bags around 11:30, then walked around Vancouver and had lunch at “Steamworks”, very close to cruise port. There were NO lines at all when we boarded at about 1:30, and there were very nice workers at every corner showing us which direction to go next.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The Main Dining Room had lots of seafood on the menu, which my brother & his wife enjoyed. The Crowne Grill was delicious this time, service was excellent. Sabatini’s was also delicious with great service, but there’s just too much food to eat!!! HA! Buffets had everything I would want and expect. Our specialty dessert was awesome (from Coffee & Cones)! Pizza and the chicken sandwich from the Grill were tasty.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Fitness center was used by my brother and his wife - they enjoyed using it. I played mini golf early one morning by myself. Fun stuff. We did not use the pools or jacuzzis.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The show called “Stardust” was wonderful! I enjoyed listening to the Jazz Band. The Magician was pretty entertaining. We enjoyed one Comedian, Phil Tag.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was great, like usual. The wait staff at Botticelli Dining Room took wonderful care of us - got us a window view table for 4, with the same waiters every night, same time. The people at the Customer Service desk were excellent and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Love the layout- just like the Emerald, which we were on in May. Easy to get your bearings and learn where things are. Everything seemed to be kept clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very quiet. Beds and pillows are heavenly! Nice cold fridge in room. Good water pressure in shower.

Ship tip

Go to the “Behind the Seas” show, where you meet the Captain, and then the Cruise Director interviews 3 officers. It’s great!!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy peasy. Follow the instructions and it goes very smoothly.

That just means those of us who didn't have the best weather need to go back and try again! Glad you had a great trip.
