Review summary

I was really disappointed with this cruise from embarkation until disembarkation. I’ve been on the Ruby before and totally enjoyed it but this was more like a cattle ship cruise. Waiters were either new or unfriendly. Dining room was noisy and slow so we went up to the Lido, which was mediocre at best. Service was very poor. I have two more cruises with Princess booked, one out of Quebec and the other a world cruise, but if the Quebec Cruise is like this one I’m cancelling the World cruise. I pity the people who continued on the Hawaii and Australia.

We had a similar experience, but not on Princess. The cruise was the last of the season before repositioning and we found the staff had almost given up, the passengers rude and packed and supplies running out. Maybe change in locations and end of staff contracts impact quality of cruise. Won't stop us cruising though, we are just a little more choosier when booking.

Sorry you had such a frustrating experience. We have found that every now and again a cruise goes “catty womus” for no particular reason. We often find the next one is spectacular. I am comparing similar itineraries on similar ships on the same cruise line. Don’t give up!
